All-Hallows-Eve

Do you know why Pagans celebrate All-Hallows-Eve? Since the Salem wich trials occured in the 1800's pagan families have been celebrating All-Hallows-Eve, which is a ritual holiday for the life giving good spirits and mother earth.

Every year when All-Hallows-Eve is at hand pagans all around come together in a clearing in the middle of a forest in the mountains to celebrate this holiday. Then some of the members are summoned to go get food, which consists of meat, fruite, beverage products such as steak, ham, turkey, grapes, pinapple, peaches, blackberries, strawberries, fresh homemade bread, and the darkest red wine they can find. The food represents the relinquishing of life for all pagans. The dark red wine represents the blood that has been shed by all pagans in the past and in the presant time. We wear black cloaks, which we are all naked underneath. Pagans wear these cloaks because it is respectful to the good spirits and mother earth. We chant around a bonfire speaking in the ancient tounge that our elders gods created for us. This ancient tounge is on old parchment paper which is made up of trees, human blood, and crystalized white sand. We dance to the sounds of handmade drums that have a deep echo beat when they are played upon. While danceing we hold hands in a circle around the bonfire singing a harmonic tune to put all the restless souls of all the pagans laid to rest. Then we all sit around the fire giving thanks, giving tranquility, and giving health to the good spirits, mother earth, and everyone sitting around the fire. After we are done giving thanks all of us simultaneously say "thank you good spirits and mother earth for giving us this food, water, and for letting us enjoy are life's to the fullest.

When I and all the pagan families are celebrateing All-Hallows-Eve, then all 200 of us go get about 1000lbs of white crystalized sand and draw a huge five pointed star on a smooth surface so it is easier to control. We then take our bodies and outline the huge star by matching our feet with feet, and heads with heads so the star is not tangled with missmatches of the body parts. The pagan celebration ends at sunrise the morning of November 1st. Since the celebration is an ongoing ritual we have what are called "watchers" that are the main protectors of all pagan rituals being held. So you ask how are the watchers different from pagans? Well the difference is pagans are dressed in black cloaks, and the watchers are wearing blood red cloaks with a short sword attached to their waist and a bow with a quiver of arrows on there back. These watchers also watch over evryone while they sleep.

I am writing this information about pagans and why we celebrate All-Hallows-Eve so others will be more acceptant to the wiccan and pagan religion. Once others have read this information about pagans they will have a better understanding of where my religion comes from and the traditional back ground behind it. The All-Hallows-Eve celebration is also to help all pagans to clense their minds, bodies, and souls of the bad things that we have done to our selfs, family, friends, and anyone else within a one year time span.
